The Dragonfly

I chose the dragonfly as the mark for SilverWings.

Not because it is delicate.
Not because it is decorative.

But because it is engineered.
And because it carries depth.

A dragonfly has a solid core and four independent wings — five elements in total.
Just like our five pillars.

Its body is highly specialised.
Complex, almost panoramic vision.
A strong, protective exterior.
Precision design refined over millions of years.

Culturally, the dragonfly is associated with protection, transformation, and victory.

Not fragile.
Not ornamental.

A presence.
A signal of movement.
A reminder that change can be navigated with strength.

And then there are the wings.

Each wing moves independently.
They do not flap in unison.
They coordinate.

That independence gives the dragonfly extraordinary agility —
the ability to hover,
to accelerate at speed,
to change direction in an instant,
to move not just forward and back,
but up, down, sideways, diagonally.

Six directions.
Choice in movement.

It does not drift.
It navigates.

For me, the dragonfly represents a way of living.

A strong core.
Four active dimensions.
Each independent — yet in rhythm.

  • Physical.
  • Mental.
  • Creative.
  • Social.
  • Financial.

Five pillars.
One body.

At this stage of life, we are not starting from scratch.
We are specialised.
We have depth.
We have vision.

And now?

We move with intention.
We adjust course.
We hover when needed.
We accelerate when ready.

We don’t drift into this chapter.
We navigate it.

On our own terms.
